This report provides the results of Objective 1, in which we determined whether the State of Florida used Food and Nutrition Service(FNS) SNAP administrative funds to provide benefits to participants.

OIG examined the circumstances surrounding the oversight and enforcement of the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR)/Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) food delivery contract.  Note: This report contains sensitive content that is being withheld from public release. OIG reviewed APHIS’ Horse Protection Act horse show inspection and disqualification processes. 

OIG reviewed USDA’s performance measures and monitoring for the Partnerships for Climate-Smart Commodities.

OIG performed an inspection of the Office of the Chief Economist to determine the likely level of sophistication an attacker would need to compromise selected U.S. Department of Agriculture systems or data.

Our objective was to determine whether USDA’s password management practices effectively prevented the use of passwords that are commonly used, expected, or compromised.

OIG determined that the Forest Service’s acquisition process adequately identified firefighting equipment needs and issued Incident Blanket Purchase Agreements (I-BPA) to meet those needs in fiscal year 2023.

OIG evaluated the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights’ efforts to ensure compliance and accountability among USDA agencies and staff, in accordance with applicable civil rights laws and regulations.

The Office of Inspector General performed an evaluation of an Agricultural Research Service (ARS) facility’s physical condition and security.

This report provides information about the processes that the Food and Nutrition Service uses to disburse Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits using the EBT system, as well as the related oversight activities.
